Selling Annuity – Saving a Life

Posted by admin | Comments (0)

My dad got hospitalized last week and we are in desperate need of cash to pay off the hospital bills and buy some of his medicines. We called up my aunt to ask for some help but she couldn’t help us because she was also out of cash. My grandmother knew about this and she gave up a call. She volunteered to sell annuity payments so we can have the money we need. My grandmother is currently receiving annuity payments for her retirement plan and it’s just enough for her personal expenses.

We were relieved and grateful that my grandmother offered her help to us. Though her money is just enough for her, she was willing to make a sacrifice for his son-in-law. I’ve always thought that she was just another grumpy old woman that only sees the mistakes of younger people. Because of what happened, she has shown me her true heart. My father is now home but he is still taking some medicines. The doctor says that he’s going to be alright; thanks to Grandma.

Teaching as a Noble Profession

Posted by admin | Comments (0)

Karen is one of my cousins; she had finished a degree in psychology last year. She always has planned to work abroad because her belief is that working abroad would give her family a better life. A few months after she graduated, she applied at a hospital abroad to be one of the hospital’s psychologists. Her application was denied because one of the requirements is to have a master’s degree in psychology. After that she have enrolled on an course in http://www.sbftlauderdale.com/, she taught that this would be the most convenient way for her to study and work at the same time.

They were a bit broke so she had to finance her studies by working as a psychology professor in one of the state university. Though she did not earn that much as a professor she enjoyed teaching and she also has finance his online master’s degree and as well as helping her family. After finishing her master’s degree she had already lost her interest of going abroad. Now she is thinking more on how to pursue her teaching career. Last time that I saw her, she said that though her salary is not that big she is a lot happier now because she enjoys what she is doing.
